We found a lovebird

Thats pretty neat. Just wanted to say that here in Phoenix we have a pretty big wild flock. My lovies even attract them sometimes. Its really neat to see them all flying about so it IS possible for them to survive. Altho im not sure how different the weather is there from here. Im glad you were able to take him in tho!

New birdy is fine. I was going to put in some pics but I can't.

Our little foundling is now called Blueberry. She (I think) is in a large outdoor cage with three others. She is an aqua with a possibility of a pied gene cos she has two yellow feathers on her head and two pink toenails. I have also bought another bird to even up the numbers....

She is I think a green pallid with a violet factor, that's my guess anyway not 100% sure. Very pretty colours. She has made friends with Chilli, who is an aqua pied I wanted a new mate for cos his former lady plucked the babies. He is also split to pallid so you can get a lovely range of colours from him. Haven't thought of a good name for her yet.

How can you tell the age if you don't know birds DOB? is there a way to have a clue on lovebirds?

The one we found has a legband which is a bit hard to read but possibly has 08 for the year of hatching. The one I bought is supposed to be about 16 months old. It wouldn't let me load pics because apparently I am over my quota of space used. Can I fix that?

Yvonne, I had the same problem when mine went over, too. You have to check on Settings up on the right, the select Attachments (lower left in the column), open to see your attachment pictures and then delete a number of them, until you have some space to use. Scott said that he was going to open up the amount of space but mine doesn't show that. So I deleted a lot of them and got more space to put in new pix. When you are deleting, sometimes it says Error, just go back to the previous screen and hit Delete again. I don't know why this happens, but the next time it will work.

Okay, so here's the pix. Blueberry, the birdy we found, and Hazel the new one I bought. It was a bit tricky taking the photos because they are both quite nervous of me and the both thought the camera was a monster that wanted to eat them...
