Hello, do you want access to a special members section of the Bird Lovers Online community? do you want free website hosting for your website or photos? and advertising for your business.


I would like to extend an invitation to all to help out with the running costs of this wonderful community; you dont have to donate hundereds of dollars, $1 would be fine but with the cost of running this forum getting higher each year I would love some help with the cost of paying to keep it running and keeping it sucessful.

I will now list just how much the forum costs to run each year.

Webserver - $300 USD
Forum software - $289 to buy the licence's and $70 for a years worth of upgrades
Domain name - $8 per year.
Programmer Labor Expenses - $700+




Each donator will get a special little badge that is displayed on their profile and their posts in the forum so everyone knows they are a supportor of the forum.



On the donation page you will be able to select an amount that you would like to donate, you will then be able to pay the donation via Paypother al, paying via paypal does not mean you need a paypal account; I have it setup so you can pay with any visa, mastercard ect by clicking on the 'Don't have a PayPal account? Use your credit card or bank account (where available)' link on the paypal page.

For businesses to advertise the minimum donation is $50USD, sorry.

Scott, I never realized how much it cost to run a forum. Thanks for all you do, and I know that a lot of us will be willing to help out in whatever way we are able.

Where are the links to paypal? When I click on the word "here" nothing is showing up, but an error message.

as regards to the money it take, yes it takes alot of money to run a forum BUT i love running the forum and so it makes up for it :-) I have a day job to support Jess and myself and I have a little money left over to help the forum lol

Scott, just a suggestion. I know there are alot of really talented people on this forum. Why not host either a raffle or auction with the item being donated and all proceeds go to the forum? I am sure Paulette has lots of ideas for items people would like to bid on. It could be fun and raise some money for the forum at the same time. Whoever donates the item, sends it to you so you can keep home addresses etc. private or to one of your moderators, like for people in the US, send it to Bonnie. Just a thought. Or publish a calendar featuring birds from this forum for next year......now that would be so much fun.

I love that idea. I could paint a painting of a Love bird for donation. Let me know if that would help. I do work so I don't always get alot of time so couldn't promise a special date but would love to do it.

Wow, with all the lovebird owners on here, you'd be a hit for sure...............I think it is worth a try Scott, we might be able to cover the entire years worth of expenses.
