Hello, I have a question about my love birds. My son got me a pair of love birds in July. They said they were young birds and infact he had to wait a week until they were ready to come home. Well I came home the other day and there was an egg on the bottlom of their cage. I left it alone to see what she would do. Now there is another one. She sits on them when no one is around but the minute you walk in the room she comes over to the front of the cage. I don't think these eggs will...

Is the bird by itself? If so, then no it will not hatch. It is not fertile. Birds can lay eggs at any age but generally I have seen them lay as early as 6 months. Sounds like you have a hormonal hen, that is not too young. I would let her lay them, to complete her clutch, then after about 20 days remove them. don't take them out one by one or she will continually try to re create her clutch. Clutches run from 4-6 eggs. I would shorten her daylight hours and make sure to have nothin...
